I stayed up late last night and consequently, I got up late today. After a brief breakfast, I left the hostel where I had stayed for the last three nights. The living environment was fantastic despite the fact that the public space wasn’t that large.
I got to the airport by taxi, passed the security check and spent the next two boring hours waiting for the flight. Across from my seat was a cute girl. She and her mom were working together on their smartphone, probably a musical game. What impressed me most was that they were carrying with them two or three huge musical instruments (compared to their size). Guitar or violin, as far as I could tell.
As I took off in the afternoon, the sun was still in the sky. However, when I landed in Murmansk, it was dark as night even if it was still minutes to 6.
After I settled down at a nice hotel where it was more expensive but I could have an entire separate room, I bought several parcels of biscuits at a large bottle of water at a nearby supermarket. The biscuits were cheaper than that in China while meat seemed more expensive (I didn’t calculate though) There was snow all over the road that made it extremely difficult to walk around. Therefore, I gave up the plan to hang out and stayed safely at the room. I was in a dilemma as to whether to wash clothes before sleeping or sleeping after doing nothing much. But here’s an interesting fact: your body makes decisions for you when you’re not that determined to. For me, that was to SLEEP!
